Hubballi, August 11: Seven youths have been arrested on costs of kidnapping their pal who had gained over Rs one crore in an internet recreation on this district of the state. Gareeb Nawaz, the kidnapped youth was rescued by police.
In accordance with police, on studying that Nawaz had gained an enormous quantity of prize cash in an internet recreation, his mates Mohammad Arif, Imran, Abdul Kareem, Hussain Saab, Imran M, Toufif and Mohammad Razak hatched a plan to kidnap him. The chums-turned-kidnappers made a name to his father and demanded Rs 1 crore as ransom for secure launch of the sufferer. When Nawaz's father refused, they settled for Rs 15 lakh.
The accused threatened to kill his son if he did not pay up. On being knowledgeable, the police division fashioned 4 particular groups and launched an investigation. Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Labhuram monitored the investigation and nabbed the culprits.
