Aaron Nevils, from San Francisco, used the skilled networking website to achieve out to his dream lady, requesting a 'espresso chat' together with her.
The lady, who wished to stay nameless, replied to his request and the pair met up. But she later revealed to MarketWatch that she did not contemplate it a date, as she thought he was attempting to community together with her.
The story has divided opinion online, with some folks branding Aaron's actions 'creepy' and others praising his 'gutsy' transfer.
