Jalaun, Aug 1: A 50-year-old girl fell right into a nullah here and stored herself afloat for 16 hours earlier than she was lastly rescued.

The lady, recognized as Jai Devi, clung on to a bit of picket log that got here her manner within the robust currents whilst she was swept away into the flooded Yamuna on Friday.

In response to reviews, Jai Devi had gone to her fields when she by chance fell into the swollen Kilandar nullah in Jalaun that empties into the river Yamuna.

After falling into the stream on Friday night, she was swept away following a robust present that took her to the Yamuna River.

She caught on to a picket log and remained afloat for greater than 16 hours.

When the boatmen within the Manki village in Hamirpur district noticed her drifting within the river, they alerted the police and introduced her out.

She was admitted to a hospital and her son Rahul and daughter Vinita had been knowledgeable and so they rushed to her aspect.
