Another South-Indian blockbuster that has been recently released in the theaters nearby you. Vikrant Rona is a 2022 Kannada language film, written and directed by Anup Bhandari.
The movie was released on 28 July 2022 in Kannada and in dubbed languages; Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The film received quite good reviews from the critics due to its cinematography, action, story, and production design. And not just that, just after its release, it became the fourth-highest Kannada film.
Vikrant Rona- The Storyline
The plot of the movie is about how in a village named Kamarottu in Karnataka, a short-tempered landlord tries to arrange the marriage of his younger brother’s daughter. While his younger brother wants the same to be carried out in their ancestral house in the village, however, the landlord denies it. He says that the house is haunted by Brahmarakshasa.
Then, one night the landlord’s son returns from London and meets his cousin, who is about to get married. They might find the corpse of a beheaded cop in the house as well. This is when inspector Vikrant Rona arrives to investigate the case. While investigating the case, he finds out that the dead body had a one rupee note in his purse. He runs to the forest in search of the culprit and is attacked by someone, but luckily he defeats the escapers.
Meanwhile, Vikrant finds a child hanging from a tree and later also finds out that this is not the first time a child has been murdered this way. 14 other children were also hanged in the same manner, and they all belonged to the nearby school that is managed by a physical education teacher. All of this leads to the girl who was getting married being fascinated by the case. Now she also starts to investigate the whole case which leads her to some truths.
