"We Are Positive To Get Full Majority": Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma"



Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday stated that the National People's Party (NPP) is "positive" about getting full majority within the state meeting elections.



Earlier within the day, NPP president and Meghalaya governor Tathagata Roy cautioned occasion staff in opposition to being "over-confident" about the results of the meeting elections within the state.

The Meghalaya CM stated that the NPP is main in 27 seats out of the 60 meeting constituencies within the state.

"We are hopeful and we are positive that we will get full majority," Sangma instructed reporters after casting his vote on the Tura Government Higher Secondary School polling station.

"I appeal to all the people of Meghalaya to come out and vote in large numbers. This is a very important election," he stated.

The Congress, which is in search of a fourth consecutive time period in energy in Meghalaya, is contesting in 59 seats whereas the NPP is fielding candidates in 47 constituencies.
